This day trip combines nature, culture, and local traditions, including a visit to Materuni Village and a traditional Chagga coffee experience.

The hike to the waterfalls passes through banana and coffee plantations, offering a glimpse into village life and the agricultural traditions of the Chagga people. Along the way, your guide will explain local plants and traditional uses while you enjoy fresh mountain air and beautiful views of the surrounding hills.

Coffee Experience

Itinerary

Moshi – Materuni Village – Waterfalls – Moshi

Guests are picked up from their hotel in Moshi and drive approximately 45 minutes to Materuni Village, located about 1,800 meters above sea level.

After arriving in the village, enjoy a guided walk through coffee and banana plantations before hiking to Materuni Waterfalls. Spend time at the waterfall swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the scenery.

The experience also includes the traditional Chagga coffee tour before returning to Moshi in the afternoon.
